Well… I’m not sure what to say and what to leave out…
This album has been a work in progress for years… literally years. Some tracks were originally recorded in my home studio in Nashville … whilst others came about here in Sydney, with many ideas peppered in from numerous points on the globe that I happened to find myself in at any given time.
Each track has been recorded, re-recorded, re-arranged, lyrics edited, some completely thrown away, others written in their entirety in moments. … this drawn out creative process leaving me overjoyed (and relieved…) that it’s done.
For this I must thank firstly and foremostly my beautiful wife who has given me the latitude in a million ways to continue to pursue this project, regardless of the seeming absence of light at the end of the tunnel. This is dedicated to her, her patience, unending support, and love.
Also my kids. Not sure what I am to thank you for… truth be told, you should be thanking me for your opportunity to walk the earth… but - thanks anyway I guess. Love you all endlessly.
Of course, a huge thank you to all the fabulous guests who’ve played on the project - you have ALL made me look so much better than I otherwise would. Not to mention the Budapest Scoring Orchestra, conducted by Zoltán Pad, engineer was Viktor Szabó. Forever grateful to you all.
